The small £2 donation we ask for when you join the parade goes to help two very worthy causes. If you're interested in learning any more about the charities we support, you can contact us by clicking here.

The Christie

- The Christie is one of Europe’s leading cancer centres, treating over 40,000 patients a year.

‘We are based in Manchester and serve a population of 3.2 million across Greater Manchester & Cheshire, but as a national specialist around a quarter of our patients are referred to us from other parts of the country.’

Manchester Carers Centre

- A carer is someone of any age who provides unpaid support to family or friends who could not manage without this help. This could be caring for a relative, partner or friend who is ill, frail, disabled or has mental health or substance misuse problems.

Carers may even be juggling paid work with their unpaid caring responsibilities at home. The term carer should not be confused with a care worker, or care assistant, who receives payment for looking after someone.
